Women Ministries

We live in a world full of distractions and false teachers claiming to be Christians. The best way to discern what is false from what is true is to study the Scriptures. The more we are saturated in the Word of God the more will know what is excellent and what God’s will is for our lives. 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.” We study and pursue excellence not for our own glory, but for the glory and praise of God as reflected in our lives. This is why our women’s ministry is called “Women Pursuing Excellence.”

The heart and mission behind the High Point Baptist Church women’s ministry is rooted in Paul’s Letter to the Philippians:
And this I pray, that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. – Philippians 1:9-11

“Women Pursuing Excellence” meets every week for an in-depth study of the Scriptures. Throughout the year, we also host several special events such as the Fall Women’s Conference, the Spring Retreat, and the Ladies’ Tea.
